About the Author
Emmett W. Eldred developed a passion for early American furniture while completing his doctorate in organic biochemistry from MIT. He attended antique auctions whenever he could, looking, listening, and learning. Emmett's love of colonial forms grew to the point where he left th world of biotechnology to co-create a company with a new idea: to handcraft contemporary country high style furniture that would elicit the same emotional reaction as corresponding antique pieces.
